I worked full-time in integrated classrooms at the Childhood Development Center of the Hamptons in East Hamptons, NY as a 1 on 1 Teacher's Aide to a child with severe ADHD and OCD in the 3rd and 4th grades while I was completing my teaching certification. I also received a certificate for participating in the 2005 Learning Differences Conference at the Harvard Graduate School of Education.

I have tutored elementary students in math, reading, writing and study skills since 2001 specializing in upper elementary. I was a 5th grade core teacher at a private school in Bridgehampton. NY called The Morriss Center School that was later absorbed into The Ross School in East Hampton, NY. I was also a 5th and 6th grade teacher English teacher at The Ross School. I have completed professional development courses with the Reading and Writing Project, concentrating on elementary reading and writing skills, as part of the Teacher's College at Columbia University. At Harvard Graduate School of Education, I participated in middle school curriculum development seminars at Project Zero wit Howard Gardner and the Learning Differences conference. The 5th grade English and Cultural History (Social Studies) curriculum I developed and implemented at The Ross School in 2003 is still in use by current Ross School 5th grade teachers.
